How to Get Your Jurisdiction or Business to Adopt the Symbol

To build province-wide support for the Dynamic Symbol of Access, The Forward Movement is working with jurisdictions to pass resolutions stating they support the new symbol.   • Uxbridge Ontario Adopted the Dynamic Symbol of Access (April 2018)

  • Innisfil | Accessibility Advisory Committee writes letter of support (Oct 2017) 
  • Stratford | Accessibility Advisory Committee carried motion, "That the wording in the Stratford Accessibility guidelines be changed from “Symbol of Access” to “Dynamic Symbol of Access” (March 2017)
  • Guelph | Accessibility Advisory Committee carries motion for the City to use the dynamic symbol of access in City facilities that do not require, by legislation, to use the typical wheelchair symbol (June 2017)
